Lisa Cox and Mary Nemerov, Chapter Fundraising Support Team co-leads, announce three upcoming fundraising webinars —
- June 14: Fundraising House Parties
- July 20: Creating a Major Donor Fundraising Campaign
- August 17: Anatomy of the "Ask"
Fundraising House Parties
June 14 (Tuesday) at 8 p.m. Eastern/5 p.m. Pacific
A fundraising house party combines the intimacy of a major donor “ask” with the excitement of a benefit event — and unlike an event, you can organize one in six weeks. We’ll discuss how to identify a host committee, develop an invitation list, prepare a planning calendar, ask for money at the party, and engage your volunteers in creating and running the party.
Creating and Running a 12-Week Major Donor Campaign
July 20 (Wednesday) at 8 p.m. Eastern/5 p.m. Pacific
If your chapter talks about personally engaging your donors, but you can't seem to get everyone organized or motivated, this webinar is for you. We'll discuss the steps needed to build a major donor campaign, including:
- Identifying and training volunteer askers
- Identifying prospects
- The value of challenge gifts
- Structuring the campaign and holding everyone accountable
We'll include success stories from Sierra Club chapters and tools to help you get organized.
Anatomy of 'The Ask'
August 17 (Wednesday) — 8 p.m. Eastern/5 p.m. Pacific
The most effective way to raise money is face to face. Unfortunately, this is also the scariest way to raise money. Join us for a lively conversation as we break down donor solicitation into its components and take you through the ask, step by step. Come prepared to practice!
These webinars are brought to you by Sierra Club's Chapter Fundraising Support Team and the Institute for Conservation Leadership and will be led by Andy Robinson — www.andyrobinsononline.com — long-time consultant and trainer for the Club and the author of Big Gifts for Small Groups.
Hope your Chapter can join us!
