Video: Retired Oil Exec Retires the Gas Guzzler

James Brazell, 84, is one of the first owners of the plug-in hybrid Chevy Volt. Brazell also happens to be a retired oil executive. How does he like his new ride? "When I worked for Texaco, we did recognize that oil is a finite energy source," he says. "And one of these days, it's going to run out and we got to do something else."

Oil is not only finite. It's dirty and destructive. The Sierra Club's EV campaign has just launched. Get involved and tell President Obama to follow through on his pledge to get one million EVs on the road by 2015. When we get 50,000 messages, the Sierra Club will deliver them to the White House in an EV.
