Rep. Ed Markey Takes to the House Floor to Talk Extreme Weather, Climate Disruption

Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA), a ranking member of the House Natural Resources Committee, spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives yesterday about climate disruption leading to more extreme weather events, and it was a great speech. Check it out:

 

In related news, the New York Times has an interesting and scary article today on the effect extreme weather is having on our nation's infrastructure.

"From highways in Texas to nuclear power plants in Illinois, the concrete, steel and sophisticated engineering that undergird the nation's infrastructure are being taxed to worrisome degrees by heat, drought and vicious storms..." the story begins.
