Sierra Club helped win final approval of the Cape Wind project, a private wind farm project on the Massachusetts coast comprised of 130 wind turbines that can each generate 3.6 megawatts of electricity. Our administrative lobbying, public education programs, e-alerts, and participation in rallies and hearings helped lead to the first offshore wind development plan in the US.
