No Salmon For You!
Put away your fishing rods, anglers--chinook salmon are off limits this year. The Pacific Fishery Management Council cancelled California's usual May to October harvest yesterday (both commercial and recreational) because of plummeting populations. As the fish regroup over the summer, don't be surprised if you have to pay more for that smoked salmon dinner.

I do not like the tone of this comment. The main reason for Salmon decline are not fisherman, either recreational or market. Habitat decline, dams, and changing ocean conditions seem to be the cause.
Of course, the decision to cut fishing was right given the possible destruction of the species. But you should point out the other causes of salmon decline. Ally with fishermen, do not shun them.
