Green Beauty Products: Glacial Facial

Mud mask

It's time to stop suffering from dry skin or frizzy hair. This week we'll offer tips for finding green beauty products.

Tip # 3: Give Yourself Some Face Time

The Alaska Glacial Mud Co., founded in 2006 by entrepreneur and wilderness enthusiast Lauren Padawer, is dedicated to sustainably hand-harvesting Copper River Delta mineral deposits for its Purifying Mineral Mud Masque ($34). What's more, 10 percent of the company's profits go to "wilderness preservation, habitat restoration, sustainable community development, and environmental education programs." As for the product itself, its glacial minerals and Pacific Northwest vegetation ingredients let you literally soak up the earth's natural beauty.
