Electric Devices Get Greener
Batteries are one eco-evil that seem to be getting better. A notable product launch at last week’s CES was Fuji’s EnviroMax alkaline batteries; the company claims that everything in the battery is earth-friendly (it contains no mercury or cadmium) and that it won't harm the environment, even if it ends up in the landfill. They're packaged in recycled paper and recyclable plastic, and manufactured in an eco-friendly plant using reused, recycled resources. Look for them in stores starting in late March.
