Mais Oui: Homes in Europe are moving to toward a zero-emission standard. England is requiring that all new residences be zero-carbon by 2016, and France, Germany, and Denmark will soon instill stringent regulations as well. New York Times

Ozzies Not on Board: Australia’s parliament rejected the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme, a bill meant to reduce the nation’s emissions. Reuters
