To shave down that sum, and to ensure that your money goes to a cause you care about – the environment – consider making a tax-deductible donation to one of the many worthy nonprofits, such as the Sierra Club Foundation, working hard to save the planet. Yes, there’s an upfront cost to this one, but the write-off will be worth it.
