California Gold: California has the greenest economy among U.S. states, with a 36 percent growth in green jobs between 1995 and 2008. USA Today

Piscine Plea:
Marine scientists, in an effort to slow the problems associated with overfishing, are asking the WTO to limit fishery subsidies, pointing out that 80 percent of fisheries are overexploited, and that some $50 billion per year is lost as a result of tapping too many ocean resources. ENN

Driving China:
Car sales in China spiked more than 98 percent last month, setting a new monthly record, and almost doubling car sales from Nov. 2008. Wall Street Journal

Copenhagen Crashers:
A group of more than 50 global-warming skeptics, who believe that climate change isn’t human-caused, is gathered in Copenhagen this month. Telegraph
