Green Fashion Monday: A Recycled Juice-Box Purse

Woven zipper purseOn Fashion Monday, we highlight a hip, green fashion item. Got a stylish eco-friendly product to recommend? Tell us about it and look for it in an upcoming blog post.

Looking for a green way to carry your goods? Try a woven zipper purse from Bazura Bags, made by a co-op of women in the Philippines. Schoolchildren collect thousands of discarded juice containers every day, preventing them from clogging landfills. The women of the co-op transform the containers into shopping bags, wallets, lunch bags, and luggage. The woven purse pictured here is stylish and durable, and, like other items we've featured, makes a great alternative to a leather handbag. $45.
