Going Once, Going Twice, Going Green
Christie’s auction house has partnered with NBC Universal for its first-ever “green auction,” which will take place on April 22, the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Native Energy will provide carbon offsets for the event, the proceeds of which will be divided among four environmental organizations: Conservation International, Oceana, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the Central Park Conservancy.
The live auction in New York City will feature pieces by well-known artists such as Keith Tyson and Maya Lin, plus appearances from A-list celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Ed Norton, and Salma Hayek.
If you can’t make it to Rockefeller Center for the glamorous event, bid through Christie's Live, or take part in the companion auction online between April 8 and May 6 at here. The online auction is selling celebrity experiences, including a day on the set of the upcoming Hugh Jackman film or a lunch date with Vera Wang.
