Green Your House Party: Take Action

Writing pen The first episode of the Discovery Channel’s new series, Life, the follow-up to the spectacular Planet Earth, airs on Mar. 21. It's a great opportunity to raise awareness and inspire conservation efforts by hosting a viewing party. This week’s tips will show you how.

Tip #4: Get Active

Once you and your guests have had your Life viewing, it’s time to take action. Write letters to urge your representatives and the Obama administration to adopt climate-smart policies to protect wild habitats. Subscribe to the Sierra Club’s Resilient Habitats newsletter for the latest about protected places and climate change. And read the Lay of the Land blog, which covers all things land- and wildlife-related.

Tell us: What actions do you take to promote conservation?
