Nature Docs Drawing Huge Buzz

Green docs Are nature films the new reality-entertainment craze? Wildlife documentaries have been around for decades, but celebrity-narrated, high-def nature films are generating a lot of buzz right now. A few indicators?

*According to the Discovery Channel, nearly 11.8 million people tuned into the debut of its new series, Life, narrated by Oprah Winfrey. That's about 1.5 million more than Discovery's Planet Earth got upon its premiere.

*Disneynature will release Oceans, narrated by Pierce Brosnan, on Earth Day, April 22, as a follow-up to last year's highly successful nature documentary, Earth.

*Even Sarah Palin is getting in the act: She's slated to host a TLC series about Alaska's natural wonders.
