Tips for Going Solar: Orient Your Panels

Southern compass Now that our clocks have sprung forward, we can look forward to seeing more sun. With that in mind, we'd like to point out that going solar at home is a movement that's gathering momentum nationwide. But before you invest in solar power for your house, learn the basics. This week's tips will get you started.

Tip #3: Northern or Southern Exposure

Sometimes the simplest factors can determine whether you get the most out of your home's photovoltaic system. Remember: To optimize your solar panels' potential, they should face south in the Northern Hemisphere and north in the Southern Hemisphere.
