Tips for Going Solar: Satisfaction Warranteed?

Solar warranty Now that our clocks have sprung forward, we can look forward to seeing more sun. With that in mind, we'd like to point out that going solar at home is a movement that's gathering momentum nationwide. But before you invest in solar power for your house, learn the basics. This week's tips will get you started.

Tip #2: Read the Fine Print

On average, solar panels are under warranty for 20 to 25 years. But that doesn't mean you're completely in the clear; the panels are only one piece in a PV puzzle. Warranties for parts and labor usually run only about two years. It's best to educate yourself about what's covered, and for how long, so that you don't get burnt with bum accessories.
