Apple a Day? According to a recent study, the “Dirty Dozen” are 12 fruits and vegetables (including potatoes, strawberries, and apples) that, when non-organic, contain 47 to 67 pesticides per serving. CNN
Hatched Plan: At least 15 bald eagles have hatched this year on the Channel Islands, bringing the species to their highest population count in 50 years. The recovery effort, which began in 2002, is funded by the chemical companies that caused the decline by dumping pesticides. Los Angeles Times
