Damage Control: To combat dead zones in the Chesapeake Bay, the EPA proposed tougher pollution limits for the region. Baltimore Sun

Not Sold on Squirrels: A $1.25 million plan to save the endangered Mount Graham red squirrel was abandoned after the proposal drew protests from Arizona residents and government officials. Scientific American
