Al Gore Says "No" to Prop 23

Nobel Prize winner Al Gore continued his ongoing climate crusade by speaking out against a California ballot initiative that would overturn clean-energy and pollution-reduction standards if passed. Critics of Proposition 23, which is funded by Texas's Valero and Tesoro oil companies, charge that the measure would threaten people's health and cost jobs by undermining California's growing clean-tech industry. Early reports indicate that the vote could be close, so die-hard environmentalists like Gore are urging green voters to hit the polls on Election Day to defend clean energy legislation by defeating Prop 23.
