Fast Fuel: Researchers at Brown University have developed a simplified method for biodiesel conversion that is six times faster than the current conversion technique. Science Daily

BPA on Board: More than 90 percent of pregnant women in a recent study had elevated levels of bisphenol A. Those who were exposed to tobacco smoke, worked as cashiers, or ate canned vegetables regularly had the highest BPA levels in the study. Scientific American
