Green Fashion Monday: A Recycled-Cotton Shoulder Bag

Recycled Bag On Fashion Monday, we highlight a hip, green fashion item. Got a stylish eco-friendly product to recommend? Tell us about it and look for it in an upcoming blog post.

This fun bag from Ten Thousand Villages has the colors to match any outfit and the whimsy to garner many compliments. Best of all, it's fair-trade certified and made of recycled cotton.

Artisans from the Ruth and Naomi collective fashion the bags out of discarded traditional Guatemalan skirts. A portion of the $34 pricetag pays for the village's health center and educational scholarships.
