Green Fashion Monday: A Hemp-Based Holiday Dress

Ellecante dress On Fashion Monday, we highlight a hip, green fashion item. Got a stylish eco-friendly product to recommend? Tell us about it and look for it in an upcoming blog post.

It’s getting to be that season, so if you’re shopping for a sheath to wear to holiday parties, consider this spiral silk blend dress from Ellecante, a women’s-fashion company whose philosophy it is to “support designers with ethical and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes,” and to source certified-organic fabrics whenever possible.

The dress itself is pricey, at $315, but its a light-catching piece that comes in either blue, bordeaux, or olive (pictured). Its unique stitching pattern sets it apart from your typical holiday dress, and it’s got a rich, luxurious feel thanks to its composite of 67% hemp and 33% silk.
