Green Your Kids’ School: Encourage Email

Parents on computer Do you see a lot of waste going on at your children’s schools? This week’s tips are about how to help green your local educational institutions.

Tip #1: Encourage Email over Paper

How many paper notices do you get from your child’s teachers and administration? Let those in charge know that you’d like them to set a good example for your children by conserving paper and emailing those documents instead. Parents at schools across the country have already campaigned successfully to make this change. You can too!

Tip #2: Pack a Waste-Free Lunch

Tip #3: Carpool to School

Tell us: How will you encourage your child’s school to minimize paper use?
