California State Parks on your iPhone

CalParks iPhone app Exploring California’s state parks just got easier — and greener. The team at EveryTrail has partnered with the California State Parks Foundation to produce a new, free iPhone app that allows users to download information about state parks and beaches across California. No more frantically searching for directions or feeling uneasy about finding your way back — the information's now at your fingertips.

Some of the app’s perks include highlights and history about different parks, detailed maps, descriptions of points of interest, photos, audio, and tips from travel enthusiasts. You can sort the parks based on their distance to your location, track your hikes, and upload photos to Facebook and Twitter.

Download the CalParks iPhone app here. (An Android version is in the works, but probably won’t be available for another couple of months.)
