Green Your Presidents' Day: Climb that Peak
We honor our country's leaders on Presidents' Day. While we do rely on great leaders to achieve change, each of us is responsible for improving our world. This week, we'll use our presidents as inspiration for eco-friendly actions.
Tip #2: Take friends outdoors.
Theodore Roosevelt, an avid outdoorsman, protected about 230,000,000 acres of land during his presidency. Let the famous photo of Roosevelt and John Muir in Yosemite be your inspiration to introduce a friend to your favorite wilderness area. If you'd like to teach young people about the environment, consider volunteering as trip leader for the Sierra Club's Inner City Outings program.
Tell us: What's your favorite outdoor place to take friends?
