Green Your RV: Go LED
Driving an RV is never really green (all that fuel), but for those who do have a home on wheels, this week’s tips are about how to minimize its impact.
Tip #2: Replace your bulbs.
Replacing all your RV's incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs is a bright idea. They'll shine just as brighly but burn through far less energy. To save lots of battery power, make sure your running and parking lights are LEDs too. They’re the cheapest and coolest of light sources, lowering your power consumption and reducing your indoor heat.
Tell us: Where do you get your LED bulbs?
Update: Be advised against using LEDs on your car exterior in especially cold places during winter; because LEDs emit little heat, snow can build up on the lights and prevent people from seeing them.
