Green Fashion Monday: Dress Your Future Pro Athlete

Origany Ovie Mughelli baby clothes On Fashion Monday, we highlight a hip, green fashion item. Got a stylish eco-friendly product to recommend? Tell us about it and look for it in an upcoming blog post.

We were already in love with Atlanta Falcons' starting fullback Ovie Mughelli: He’s maybe the greenest pro athlete out there, he works with inner-city youth, and he toured the Gulf after the BP spill to raise awareness about the consequences of fossil-fuel dependence.

And we can’t help love him even more now that he’s teamed up with eco-friendly baby outfitters Origany to launch the company’s new “Eco-Athlete Line.” The pint-sized, sportswear-inspired bodysuits and hoodies comes in an array of athletic themes, including baseball, cycling, and tennis — but when you purchase Ovie’s football-themed one (pictured), 20% of its proceeds go toward the Ovie Mughelli Foundation, which teaches underprivileged kids to care about the environment. It's made from certified organic cotton, just like the rest of Origany’s adorable stock. The line won't be available on Origany's site 'til August, but if you want your favorite retailer to stock it soon, let 'em know now.
