Green Your Patio: Planter Boxes

Planter box With spring in the air, the outside of your home starts to look more appealing than the couch. With that in mind, this week's tips are about how to stay green when reacquainting with your patio.

Tip #2: Green Your Thumb

Especially after a wet winter like many parts of the country had this year, one of the best ways to make your patio lovelier is with a few well-placed planter boxes, which make for a fun weekend project. Find some organic flower or vegetable seeds and do a little research about what grows best where you live. Growing simple foods and flowers is an easy way to reduce your carbon footprint too.
