International Surfing Day to Make Waves on June 20

International Surfing DayInternational Surfing Day is June 20, which means it's almost time to grab your board, locate your surfing brethren, and celebrate the sport. The seventh annual event is marked by scheduled activities all over the world, from beach cleanups to mass paddle-outs.

To mark International Surfing Day, the Surfrider foundation is offering a one-day-only offer to join the ocean-protection nonprofit and receive a free T-shirt, a bar of board wax, and a year's subscription to Surfing magazine.

Before you head to the beach, though, treat yourself to Sierra's award-winning photo feature of shorebreak images by surfing photographer extraordinaire Clark Little.
