Recipe #1: Go Green or Go Home Smoothie
With powerhouse vegetable spinach as the leading ingredient, it is hard to go wrong with this flavorful smoothie. Packed with iron, fiber, antioxidants, vitamin A & C and potassium, this low-fat, vegan drink will give you the energy boost you need to start your day while kicking your metabolism into high gear. Ingredients:
- 2 cups of organic spinach
- 1 cup of frozen pineapples
- ½ frozen apple
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup of orange juice
Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Don’t let the green color fool you, this smoothie is packed with sweet and zesty flavors. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
