Down East Cooling Trend

The mayors of four Maine cities who have signed the U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement to reduce global warming and embrace smart energy solutions were honored recently by the Maine Sierra Club at its Annual Dinner. The 2006 Public Service for the Environment Award was presented by Maine Chapter volunteer leader Kathy Robertson, pictured above with Mayors Michael Hurley of Belfast, Mark Johnston of Saco, James Cohen of Portland, and Wallace Nutting of Biddeford.
