Schwarzenegger's Low-Carbon Gas Plan: Global Warming Solution or Gift to Ethanol Biz?

In his ambitious state of the state message, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, starring in his new role as global-warming warrior, called for 10 percent cut in carbon in transportation fuels by 2020, the first such standard in the world.

Bold move, huh? Well, maybe.

Bill Magavern of Sierra Club California told the Los Angeles Times he supported the governor's plan in general, but asked whether it would truly help curb global warming or just help the ethanol industry? Read more in the Times and San Francisco Chronicle.
