Last year we reported on Rate It Green, an online community launched by Sierra Club activist Allison Friedman, above, for anyone interested in green building. Now she has built on Rate It Green's success with the release of Green Building 101: A Basic Guide to Green Building Industry Resources and Information.

Greenbuilding101

The guide lists green retailers, building organizations, trade associations, green building media, directories, guides, forums, government resources, and more. Green Building 101 launched on January 31, and Friedman says she is already receiving suggestions for new listings and categories. "The idea is to help people find the information they need so that we can all grow the green building industry even more rapidly," Friedman says.

Green Building 101 can be downloaded from the Rate It Green website for $15, printed and shipped for $20, and for $25 one can subscribe for a year to a continuously updated online version. (View a sample preview of the guide. Membership and listings on Rate It Green are free.
