Speak Out Against Tar Sands In Person
As the U.S. State Deparment and the Obama Administration still mull the approval of TransCanada's proposed Keystone XL tar sands oil pipeline, now is the public's chance to comment.
The State Department is holding nine public hearings around the U.S. about this proposed bad idea. Not familiar with Keystone XL or tar sands oil? Tar sands oil is the most toxic fossil fuel on the planet that leaves in its wake scarred landscapes and a web of pipelines and polluting refineries all while delaying our transition to a clean energy economy.
Keystone XL is a proposed 2,000 mile pipeline would cross into the U.S. to pump Canadian tar sands oil across six U.S. states to refineries in Texas. The upcoming hearings:
