Green Your DIY Gift: Reused Materials

Recycled wrapping paper Feeling the economic pinch or are you just the crafty type? This week, we offer tips to help you green your inexpensive do-it-yourself projects.

Tip #1: Save Your Gift From the Landfill

Whenever possible, reuse or repurpose materials instead of going to the store for new ones.  Make your DIY creation out of objects (vases, clothes, boxes, etc.) around the house that you no longer use. Take it a step further by saving usable materials from the trash. Finally, if you must buy, do it secondhand. Our favorite? Newspaper as wrapping paper.
