Green Your Job: Rethink Lunch

Bring your lunch to work Whether you work full-time, part-time, or are looking for a job, we've got tips for reducing your environmental impact at work. This week we're showing you how to turn your career into a green job.

Tip #3: Pack a Smart Lunch

By bringing your own food to work, you'll reduce waste, eat healthier, and save money. Estimates of savings vary from $12 a month to $76 a month. To maximize waste-reduction, buy food staples in bulk, then set aside one evening to prepare lunches for the entire week. Opt for reusable containers and cloth napkins. Introduce your coworkers to the fun of healthy food by organizing a green potluck.
