Green Fashion Monday: Sustainable Sandals

Great for flip-flopping around the dorm or strolling on the beach, these sturdy sandals from Ocean Minded are made of recycled Croslite and plastic bottles. The Durbo sandal ($22), pictured, is pro-surfer Bede Durbidge's signature shoe, "Durbo" being the Australian athlete's nickname.

Ocean Minded donates a portion of its proceeds to Surfrider, a nonprofit dedicated to ocean conservation. The California-based company also gives back by organizing regular beach cleanups.
