3.) What other kinds of bees do we know?

Answer:

Plenty. Though the honeybee is probably the most culturally visible because we regularly use the food it produces, we're no strangers to its buzzing cousins either. From hornets to yellow jackets to bumblebees to wasps (and the hundreds and thousands of species within those types), we encounter many different kinds of bees in our lifetimes. Some of these are pollinators, some aren't. Some are more prone to sting than others -- you'll have much better luck with a bumble bee than a hornet.

The honeybee isn't the only bee susceptible to colony collapse disorder either. Without a solid effort at bee conservation, we could lose more than one great pollinator.
