To Betsy in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and Mr. Green,
Let's not forget all of the trees that are not technically in forests. I can't tell you how many times I have seen a perfectly good fruit or nut orchard that used to be in the "boonies" turned into suburban shopping center with a name like Pecan Grove Center. I have witnessed one lone tree left in the parking lot that died within two years of the shopping center opening, due to impervious asphalt cover. And don't forget all the cattle ranchers that bulldoze or poison 90 to 100% of the Mesquite and Cedar trees off their land, because the trees "drink too much water".

Betsy, there are definitely not enough trees.
